"Inishbofin, The Island of the white cow, which lies off the Galway coast, offers walkers the chance to experience the island`s unique atmosphere and geography.
While walking on the island you will enjoy spectacular views of neighbouring islands and the mainland. The walks include cliffs, coves, blowholes as well as the remains of Bronze age settlements.
There are the ruins of a 16th century Cromwellian fort that was used to imprison Catholic priests and for wildlife lovers there is a chance to hear the Corncrake, one of Ireland`s rarest and endangered birds.
Trips can also be organised to visit the neighbouring abandoned island of Inishshark for a days walking. An excellent weekend could be spent exploring both islands.
We can arrange day trips for people with limited time but to really experience Inishturk at it`s best we recommend a night or two.
Day trips cost €65 per person(min 4 people) Lunches are extra.
